DREAMGAZE PDX 2024: SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Thank you for considering sponsoring Dreamgaze PDX 2024, our inaugural year of what we hope will become an annual event. Pitchfork declared that 2023 was the year that the shoegaze revival hit its stride. Well, in the Pacific NW, shoegaze never really went away, with past trailblazing events in Portland like Shoegazer’s Ball / Fuzzy Ball, and now Seattle’s recent Seagaze and Tremolo festivals leading the way. Currently in Portland, however, there’s a shoegaze-shaped hole in our festival calendar. It’s time to remedy that.

Coming September 28-29 at St. Johns’ intimate and beloved The Fixin’ To, Dreamgaze PDX will bring in some of our favorite local shoegaze / dreampop bands, along with several out-of-town acts we admire. The bill includes: Citrus Clouds (PHX), Dead Leaf Echo (NYC), Fawning (OAK), Kallai (PDX), Tears Run Rings (PDX), Ten Million Lights (PDX), The Veldt (NC), The Prids (PDX), Mint Field (CDMX), Soft Science (SAC), Somesurprises (SEA), Waking Sophia (PDX), and Waves Crashing (OLY). DJ’s from powerhouse shoegaze radio station and presenting sponsor DKFM will spin between sets. 

This event is being put on by an all-volunteer committee (with members of Kallai and Ten Million Lights, plus the team at DKFM); all of the funds from ticket sales will go directly to paying artists and their travel costs. We’re seeking sponsorship support to help make the experience unforgettable: cool swag for attendees, raffle items, incredible stage visuals, maybe pop-ups selling related goods like vinyl or pedals. Our ideal sponsors could help with either cash or in-kind support in exchange for a little publicity and the goodwill that comes with supporting the Cascadia shoegaze scene.
